Livingston County Dog Control owes an exceeding amount of gratitude to all. Also we would like to express our appreciation to York Animal Hospital for always being there for us Vicky's Grooming Salon for giving extreme makeovers to our scruffiest strays
To all of our dog walkers, who come rain or shine but especially to Amy Witt, dog walker extraordinaire, who makes the lives of the dogs housed here a little happier Not only because she is so loving, but also for the goodies she brings.
To the ARC of Geneseo who makes peanut butter biscuits every week and puts them in special packaging. The dogs just LOVE them.
To the anonymous people who dropped off treats and blankets, you will never know how much that means to the dogs.
May you all have blessings come back to you a thousand times over!!
Please be advised that ALL dogs, whether on or off the owner's premises, MUST be licensed. Licenses are available at your town clerk where you will be given a bright, shiny tag for your pooch to proudly display on it's collar.

![]() What a HONEY!!! Honey was dumped off on Swartz Rd. in the Town of Sparta She was running in the area for 2 days before she would trust anyone enough to take her in. Honey came to dog control on 1-25 Honey is about 2yrs. old and still very shy But she is making friends and learning maybe the world isn't such a bad place after all!! |
Hello
people!Athena here I've been @ dog control for 30 LONG days I would really like a person to call my own I'm very people orientated I want to be the only girl in your life Other dogs bother me I'm a female Rottweiler about 5yrs of age I walk very nice on a leash I was originally found on Kingston Rd. in the Town of Leicester on New Years Eve 2011. So help me celebrate the New Year by giving me a new "leash" on life |
![]() Meet Fizzle A 2-3yr. old neutered Male Shep. Mix Fizzle was found on Stanley St. in the Town of Mt. Morris on 2-4-12 If you love the personality of a shepherd you will love Fizzle. He is intelligent, playful, loyal, friendly and walks well on a leash His weak point is learning not to jump on people. But, even the two days he has been @ dog control, he is learning that pretty well. Because he is neutered, Fizzle's adoption fee is only $10. Fizzle is also a great singer! |
![]() This is Snizzle Snizzle is a 4-5yr old.un-neutered Male Husky. Snizzle doesn't have much to say, even for a Husky. We don't know how he is with cats as he was found as a stray on Main St. in Dansville, just on the Steuben county Border on 2-4-12. He seems like a nice guy |
![]() Meet Scrounger An old Male Beagle(10+yrs) Who was found on 36/New Rd in the Town of Leicester on 1-28-2012 This boy shows signs of not having a very good life He is extremely thin and will eat anything that even looks like food His collar was very loose around his neck But now he is in a warm, safe place, with plenty of food and goodies Most likely lived most of his life outdoors. |
![]() Greetings from MacNugget!! I'm a very peppy, happy 1-2yr.old Male Cairn Terrier Mix I was found on Rt. 436 in the Town of Portage on 2-8 I weigh about 15lbs. |
Dog Control would like to remind all
dog owners that in the State of New York, all dogs 4 months
and older, whether on or off the owner's premises, MUST
be licensed. Licenses are available from your town clerk. |
